INTRODUCTION

Rogue is part of a sub−species of humans called mutants, who are born with superhuman abilities. Rogue has the involuntary ability to absorb and sometimes also remove the memories, physical traits, and superpowers of any sentient being she touches. Due to her skin's inherent deadliness, she limited her physical contact with others for most of her life. After running away from home, she was adopted by Mystique, of the Brotherhood of Mutants and grew up as a villain. During her time as a villain, Rogue permanently absorbed Carol Danvers' psyche and powers. She eventually reformed and turned to the X-Men − eventually becoming a key member of the team.Full character biography and history: Comic Vine, Marvel Database.

CHILDHOOD AND PAST AS A VILLAIN.

Anna Marie ran away from home at a very young age, and was eventually adopted by Mystique. Anna Marie developed a close relationship with Mystique and her lover, Irene Adler − who rise her together as their daughter. Under Mystique's insistency, Rogue officially joins the Brotherhood of Mutants − a terrorist organization whose main purpose was to target and neutralize Anti-Mutant public figures. As a villain, she confronts Carol Danvers and permantently absorbs her entire psyche and powers − an event that would led her to join the X-Men.

X-MEN.

Unable to control her powers and deeply affected by the permanent absorbtion of Carol Danvers' psyche, Rogue leaves the Brotherhood of Mutants and goes to the X-Men for help. Aware of her troubled past, the X-Men reject her. Unlike her students, Charles Xavier offers her a place on the team and willingly helps her control her highly unstable mutation.
